Do you want to Stop Sweating This Summer?

With Summer right around the corner and most of us can’t wait for sunshine and hot weather, this can also cause discomfort to those suffering from Hyperhidrosis.

It’s natural for Humans to sweat to keep our body temperature down during times when we are active, in warmer environments and sometimes when feeling anxious.

If you do suffer from excessive sweating, you’re not alone. Some very famous people do too. Halle Berry, this Oscar winner has never shied away from her hyperhidrosis. Berry was even on The Ellen Show showing off her sweat stains. Cameron Diaz is rarely photographed without sweat marks under the arms and even Twilight superstar Robert Pattinson seems to be soaking wet on every red carpet he walks.

No one enjoys being all sweaty and stinky, so whether you are working, hitting the festivals or jetting off to a tropical island this summer, here are five ways to avoid spilling too much sweat…

1. Ditch the morning coffee

You may think you need your morning pick-me-up to get you up and out the door every morning, but caffeine activates the sweat glands, so if it is a scorcher out there, it is recommended that you stick to water. If you really need a hot beverage try herbal teas or decaffeinated coffee.

2. Consider the fabrics you wear

Next time you hit the shops, check the label to see what that pretty dress or trendy T-shirt is made of. While polyester is one of the most common fabrics out there, popular due to its durability, it is best to steer clear of it in summertime.

3. Apply deodorant before bed

Your skin is more likely to absorb the ingredients within your antiperspirant deodorant when your body is cooler, and your body is generally cooler at night. It is therefore more logical to apply some spray or roll on before bed rather than after your morning shower.

4. Eat well

Diet can go a long way to controlling your weight, which in turn can help control how much you sweat. Eating a range of fruit and vegetables (instead of lots of sticky, sugary, high-carb foods) can help keep you slimmer so that excess fat does not add to your discomfort when the heat is on.

5. Quick fix

The most effective treatment of them all: Wrinkle relaxing injections have been found to reduce sweating by up to 95%. The treatment is very quick and painless. It will take around 15 minutes. The results can be very life changing to some people and many clients who I have treated have said that they feel ‘free’ again to go out without worrying about excessively sweating.
